Chief of Defence Force Fellowships
The Chief of Defence Force Fellowship is offered annually to an outstanding post-graduate student to undertake a year of full-time study and analysis in an area of significance to the Australian Defence Force. The CDF Fellowship was introduced in 1996 to enable post-graduate reserach by permanent members of the Australian Defence Force into Defence related topics.
One Fellowship is awarded each year by the CDF on the recommendations of a selection panel consisting of representatives from the Single Services and University College at ADFA.
Successful applicants for Fellowships will be mentored by their Services repsective Service centre. In the case of Air Force, this will be the Air Power Development Centre.
Applications are called for in February of each year for study in the following year. A selection panel is conducted in July each year and Fellowship applicants will be advised of CDF's decision following the panel's decision.
