Overview

Air Power Resilience: What Air forces actions can the ADF take to enhance Resilience? What actions will counter the dependence on key enabling functions? Air base Resilience is achieved by creating redundancy through the development of a network of alternative air bases, and by ensuring sufficient resilience to defend and recover from an adversary action.

Space Resilience: What Air forces actions can the ADF take to enhance Resilience? What actions will counter the dependence on key enabling functions? Collaboration creates resilience and Air Force mitigates fragility by planning and conducting operations to leverage strengths across the ADF and its partners to provide systemic depth. Air Force relies on space enabled missions and networks to facilitate this communication and collaboration between our partners in order to mitigate the fragility of air power. However, Air Force reliance on space missions creates a vulnerability for air power. Space missions are vulnerable to conventional attack on ground support and launch facilities; non-kinetic attack through jamming of the electromagnetic spectrum to degrade or deny ground-to-satellite links; or exploitation of GPS, communication, or network signals by adversaries.
