This is our Licence and Consent to Publish Agreement, all authors are required to accept this before they are able to be submit their works.
License and Consent to Publish Statement
- I am 18 years of age or older, or my parent or guardian submits my submission on my behalf;
- the submission is my own original creation;
- I provide the following licence and consent, in relation to the submission, to the Commonwealth of Australia:
- I grant to the Commonwealth a royalty free, fee free, irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual and world-wide licence (including the right to sub-license) to use, copy, adapt, expand, develop, archive, publish or otherwise alter the submission, including for the purposes of:
- publically communicating the submission under a Creative Commons BY licence; and
- any government activities;
- I agree, where reasonable, that I may be attributed as author of the submission; and
- I agree that the Commonwealth may undertake the following types of acts in relation to the submission:
- the incorporation, alteration, amendment, deletion or modification of the submission; and
- any dealing with, or changes to, the submission, which might otherwise constitute an infringement of my moral rights;
- I grant to the Commonwealth a royalty free, fee free, irrevocable, non-exclusive, perpetual and world-wide licence (including the right to sub-license) to use, copy, adapt, expand, develop, archive, publish or otherwise alter the submission, including for the purposes of:
- the submission does not infringe the copyright or any other rights of any person (including any moral rights or confidentiality obligations);
- I possess all relevant rights to license the submission to the Commonwealth as set out in these terms and conditions;
- the submission does not contain anything which, to the best of my knowledge and belief (acting reasonably), is obscene, offensive, libellous, defamatory, a contempt of court or unlawful and will not expose me or the Commonwealth to any civil or criminal proceedings;
- all statements in the submission are, to the best of my knowledge and belief (acting reasonably), true and accurate;
- the submission does not contain anything which will (or is likely to), in the reasonable opinion of the Commonwealth, prejudice the good name or reputation of the Commonwealth or otherwise bring the Commonwealth into disrepute;
- to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Commonwealth excludes all liability for any claim, loss, damage or expense, howsoever arising (including from negligence) under or in connection with this submission, or arising out of or in connection with the use, publication or communication of the submission; and
- I have read and understood the matters set out in these terms and conditions and that I am, or my parent or guardian acting on my behalf is, legally competent to provide this licence and consent.
This is our copyright assignment agreement, only individuals who are not employed by the Australian Government will be required to agree to this should the commonwealth choose to publish your works
ASSIGNMENT OF COPYRIGHT & MORAL RIGHTS WAIVER
- The Air and Space Power Centre (the ASPC) commissions, publishes and discusses a range of publications aimed at generating new thinking for challenges faced by Defence and Air Forces.
- In alignment with these objectives, the ASPC publishes papers of individual contributors.
- In order for the ASPC to publish the works of individual contributors, it requires the contributor to grant to the Commonwealth an assignment of copyright to their publications and monographs.
- The contributor has agreed to give effect to this Copyright assignment to their publications and monographs and will become the Assignor.

- The Assignor hereby assigns, free from any encumbrances or restrictions, copyright in the Work including future copyright (other than copyright in a student thesis) to the Commonwealth. The assignment will take effect once the Assignor signs this Deed Poll.
- The Assignor declares that the Work is an original creation and, to the best of their knowledge, does not infringe copyright or any other rights of any person (including moral rights). The Assignor possesses all relevant rights to assign the copyright in the Work to the Commonwealth.
- The Assignor consents in favour of the Commonwealth to any activity to performance of which would otherwise infringe the individual contributor’s moral rights in the Works.
