Warrant Officer David Turnbull, an Agent of Change.

This week we are celebrating the outstanding achievement of the many recipients of The General Division of the Order of Australia, Meritorious awards, and Military awards, across Australia on the King’s Birthday 2023 Honours List.

Warrant Officer David Turnbull, who has been awarded a Conspicuous Service Cross for his successful endeavours in the advancement of the reformed Air and Space Power Centre, and in the delivery of leadership initiatives to the Royal Australian Air Force’s enlisted workforce.

WOFF Turnbull broke paradigms during his posting with the team here at ASPC as the Centre’s Executive Officer, from June 2021 to January 2022. Displaying incisive leadership, outstanding commitment and interpersonal skill, he promoted and enhanced engagement with topics of importance, especially amongst enlisted members through initiatives such as the Leader Enrichment Program, awards, secondments and delivering the initial Air and Space Power In A Box prototypes with SQNLDR Luke Ridgeway to ensure the game’s success. Also in his contributions, was being the first ever Senior Enlisted Leader assessor on the SPS Program Wirraway Level 3 air power units.

There was not a single day inside ASPC during WOFF Turnbull’s posting where he was unable to motivate, support, educate and encourage the team to make positive change for the future and the team is all absolutely all the better for it. We are very proud of his tireless efforts and endeavours.

Currently, WOFF Turnbull is posted to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) as the CASG Air Domain Command Warrant Officer, you can read the latest interesting related pieces penned by WOFF Turnbull here: So You've Been Posted to CASG Part I, Part II, Part III, with Part IV being released very soon.
