Project ASTERIA 2019 is a collaborative project between writers from the Air Power Development Centre (APDC) and the Australia New Zealand Space Law Interest Group (ANZSLIG). The project is named Asteria after the Greek mythical goddess of shooting stars – a phenomenon that today can be considered to include the bright and colourful re-entering space debris objects that result from activities in the orbital space environment. This compilation of individual research papers is published to inform continuing discussions on space debris, space traffic management, and space sustainability.
